Maundy Thursday

On the night that He was betrayed, Jesus was sharing the Passover Meal with His disciples. This ancient meal was a reminder of the deliverance of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. Jesus made it more meaningful by pointing towards Himself as the sacrifice made on our behalf, and commanding us to continue the meal in His memory.
